Viewers cringe as Eamonn Holmes shares video of wife Ruth dressed as a dominatrix

She's cracking the whip

If you’ve ever wondered who wears the trousers in Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s relationship, that question may have just been answered.

The two This Morning presenters – who’ve been married for seven years – have filmed a new two-part documentary for Channel 5, Eamonn & Ruth’s 7 Year Itch, about how couples can spice up their sex lives.

And in one scene, leaked by Eamonn on his Twitter feed, Ruth is seen wearing DOMINATRIX gear, complete with whip and leather cap.

(Reader warning: those with a frail disposition may wish to look away now.)

The short clip sees the 57-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star clad head to toe in a leather coat and wielding a cat o’ nine tails.

As she stalks her prey off-screen (presumably Eamonn), she purrs: “Well, get used to it, slave. Things are gonna change around here.”

At that point, we hear Eamonn’s voice saying: “Darling, that’s shocking.” But judging by the tone of his voice, he doesn’t seem to mind too much!

Alongside the video, Eamonn tweeted: “U gotta watch this… Thurs 9pm @channel5_tv… Our new show Eamonn & Ruth’s 7 Year Itch. Here’s a taste of @RuthieeL getting all #Strictly on it.”

But reading some of the comments from people who’ve seen the clip, we’re not convinced the show is going to be racking up the ratings.

One viewer cringed: “Oh dear!! Use your creative imagination. We don’t need programmes on it.”

Another agreed: “Luv u two as a couple, but!! xx.”

And a third fan advised the couple, who have four children between them: “Think of your kids!!!!??????”

It’s not just S&M the popular presenters will be focusing on in the new programme, either.

They’ll also be visiting an “alternative” sex therapist, meeting a couple who go to swingers’ parties and chatting to a man who’s told his wife he wants to be a woman.

Eamonn and Ruth have never been shy when it comes to talking about their relationship away from the TV cameras.

For example, back in May, Ruth told Loose Women that Eamonn is “great” in bed.

But in an interview with The Sun last month, the couple admitted that it’s difficult to know where to draw the line.

Ruth said: “Sometimes, we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, because if we say: ‘I don’t want to talk about our sex life,’ people will think there’s something wrong.

“But if we say: ‘We’re very happy in the bedroom,’ everyone tells us to get a room.”

She took the words right out of our mouth…
