TV favourite shares childhood picture ahead of birthday this weekend

Do you recognise him?

He’s a lot older these days but if you stare into those twinkly eyes and hover over that cheeky dimple, you’ll recognise this wee lad as TV fave Eamonn Holmes.

The This Morning host celebrates his 57th birthday Sunday, and shared a picture of himself as a seven-year-old with his Instagram followers for Throwback Thursday.

The seasoned anchorman was presented with a cute cake on Friday’s show, which featured him, wife Ruth Langsford and colleague Rylan Clark Neal atop it.

Ruth treated him to an Elvis gig on Friday night…

They’re playing my song ! Thanks for the perfect birthday present Ruth. #Elvis has left the building.

Ruth Langsford is going to have to splash the cash again if she wants to make husband Eamonn Holmes’ Christmas dreams come true!

Eamonn has also used Instagram to give Ruth, 57, a cheeky hint for his Xmas list.

Beaming happily, the journalist was seen standing in front of a flashy white Mercedes car surrounded by designer wrapped gifts.

He captioned the shot: “How big is our chimney, Ruth?”

A string of hashtags were added including “Christmas shopping” and “Gifts For Him”.

Cheeky, Eamonn!

And as if the photo and caption alone weren’t enough, he really drove his point home by tagging the dealership into the post as well. You know, so Ruth knows exactly where to go…

One fan replied to Eamonn’s post with a good point: “Nice set of wheels, Eamonn. The question is if Ruth gets you these new wheels to drive, what glamorous Christmas present would you get her?”

Another tagged Ruth into the picture and joked: “I think your husband is getting some ideas for his Christmas present this year!”

A third added: “[Your chimney] isn’t that big, Eamonn, but if you have been really good, Santa could use your garage door instead.”

No doubt the couple are looking forward to a nice break over the festive period.

Until just recently, Ruth was spending every spare minute rehearsing for Strictly Come Dancing, prompting Eamonn to joke he never saw her anymore.

Ruth and partner Anton du Beke were eliminated in week eight.

Eamonn, meanwhile, has been working on a CBeebies show called Biggleton.

He provides the voiceover for the kids’ programme, which sees young kids trying out different jobs and stretching their imaginations.

And obvs the pair still do Fridays on This Morning.

Busy bees!
