Eamonn Holmes transforms into Donald Trump for new TV show

As one fan said, this is too freaky!

| Updated:

There’s something a bit different about Eamonn Holmes these days…

The orange tan. The blond hair. The somewhat smug and satisfied expression… does he remind you of anyone?!

Eamonn, 57, shocked fans on Tuesday when he uploaded a photo to Instagram showing off a drastically different new look while filming a TV show.

In case you hadn’t guessed (which you most likely did), he’d been made up to look like President Donald Trump for the programme.

Uncanny!

He captioned the snap: “Filming a new series ….. Do I suit being a blonde? (sic).”

Well, fans rushed to share their thoughts with Eamonn, many of whom were in stitches at the makeover.

One told him: “You are very convincing!”

Another said: “Yikes that’s quite something!”

A third commented: “Oh my word that’s hilarious.”

And a fourth said: “Oh wow! This is terrifyingly convincing.”

Eamonn’s makeover was done for a new Keith Lemon project to air next year – we can’t wait to find out more!

He’s certainly been keeping himself busy while wife Ruth Langsford competes on Strictly Come Dancing.

As well as supporting Ruth in the audience each week, he’s been working on this new mystery show and putting the finishing touches to new CBeebies show Biggleton.

Eamonn recently gave fans a behind-the-scenes peak at the animated project, which he voices.

“While Ruth is dancing away, I am making friends with Alim the baker, Lois the firefighter and Bobby the vet, people who will become very familiar to you, hopefully, in the autumn.

“Remember, you heard it here first! Biggleton is my family now, I hope it will be yours too.”

Fans were quick to congratulate Eamonn on his new job and assure him they’d be tuning in when the show airs.

Ruth, meanwhile, is through to Strictly week eight after successfully avoiding last weekend’s dance-off despite finishing the Saturday live show in bottom place.

It was a rather eyebrow-raising performance as Ruth ended it by straddling pro partner Anton Du Beke on the dance floor after he toppled over.

Eamonn looked mortified and amused as his wife jumped on top of Anton following his fall at the end of their Paso Doble.

But showing his sense of humour, the Northern Irish star poked fun at the incident on Instagram afterwards, joking: “Don’t ask me what u r looking at here …. But did The Curse of #Strictly just strike before my very Eyes? (sic)”

Strictly said goodbye to former JLS star Aston Merrygold on Sunday night in a shock elimination.

He had been a bookies’ favourite to go the whole way to the final but ended up getting his marching orders after being put up against Mollie King in the dance-off.
