Eamonn Holmes puzzles fans with “most random” picture ever

What on earth is going on here?!

Eamonn Holmes left fans scratching their heads on Wednesday after sharing a very odd photo to Instagram.

The picture showed the This Morning presenter dressed in a mermaid’s tail while hanging out with Celebrity Big Brother housemate Ann Widdecombe.

Oh, and she was also in a mermaid’s tail.

Huh?!

Eamonn, 58, said they’d been filming something special for his Channel 5 consumer show, Do The Right Thing, but didn’t divulge just what it was.

The mind boggles!

He wrote: “Here is Ann Widdecombe and me rehearsing tomorrow’s Do The Right Thing. You would be right if you thought something fishy was going on!”

So many questions! Why the mermaid tails? Why are Ann’s legs resting on Eamonn?

Fans were totally bemused, with one saying: “I dread to ask…”

Another said: “Bet you never thought you’d be in a photo like this in yer life! (sic)”

A third added: “This is the most random photo I’ve seen today!”

And a fourth agreed: “There’s something you don’t see every day!”

We guess we’ll just have to tune in and find out!

Eamonn co-hosts Do The Right Thing with wife Ruth Langsford.

The show has been described as a “people-driven, live audience programme which puts the spotlight on rogue companies and red tape, whilst championing consumer stories and creating emotional reunions.”

The first episode, which aired last week, tackled a wide range of topics from homelessness to child safety and even a new trend for naked exercising.

Meanwhile, Northern Irish journalist Eamonn will be receiving his OBE at Buckingham Palace soon.

The broadcaster was given the accolade in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List.
