Eamonn Holmes promises to look after Kerry Katona

Eamonn Holmes has shared a heartwarming tweet where he promised to “always keep an eye out for” Kerry Katona.

The tweet comes after Kerry’s touching interview on This Morning on Tuesday.

Speaking about hosts Eamonn and Ruth Langsford Kerry tweeted: “I’ve you guys a very very long time and have got to say two of the most genuine people in this Industry.”

To which Eamonn, 57, replied: “We go back a long way kiddo don’t we ? I always keep an eye out for you.

“We’ve had a few chats and share a few memories. I meant that hug.”

The mum-of-five wrote back: “Way way back from “toy of the year” that we presented together ..I know you did my lovely.”

The former Atomic Kitten singer appeared on the show to talk about her mental health struggles and living with bipolar.

The star revealed she “cried constantly for two or three days” last week as she continues to battle the mental illness.

She admitted: “I was upset, and for what reason I don’t know, I just felt really irritated.

“And this might sound so silly to people who don’t have mental health issues but it was raining and it deepened my mood.”

Kerry, who is married to George Kay, also spoke about her infamous interview on the show eight years ago where she was accused of being on drugs after slurring her words.

She said: “It was eight years ago I was on the famous couch, [the] infamous interview of me slurring.

“That was due to medication, pure medication.”

Following her extremely honest interview the singer won praise from viewers watching from home.

One wrote on Twitter: “Absolutely love Kerry Katona. The way she’s so open about mental health is just fantastic #ThisMorning.”

“What Kerry Katona is saying is amazing. What she’s saying needs to be put places for everybody to see. #ThisMorning,” another said.
