Eamonn Holmes is currently taking over hosting duties on GMB, while Piers Morgan enjoys some time out for Easter.
But it seems Eamonn may be getting a little too comfortable in the hot seat – he’s made a playful dig at the controversial presenter.
Tongue firmly planed in cheek, the jovial host branded his rival “fat” and “ugly”, as his final day on the breakfast show came to a close.
Eamonn joshed to Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold about him leaving – and Piers being back after the holidays.
He smirked: “When you come back I will not be here.
“I will have gone all fat and ugly looking.
“And have a lot to say for myself. Piers. Piers!”
Ouch. Piers will definitely have something to say back to that!
Eamonn has been standing in for the 52-year-old GMB regular this week and viewers have loved having him back in the ITV breakfast slot.
They have enjoyed it so much, in fact, that some are asking him to stay permanently.
One fan begged: “Dear @ITV please give @EamonnHolmes a permanent job on Good Morning Britain he’s fantastic #GMB.”

“Great to see Eamonn back. Down to earth presenters today whoop whoop. Get rid of the up themselves Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan #GMB,” said another.
Despite the 57-year-old winning over lots of fans, some are desperate for Piers to return from his jollies in Beverly Hills
After he shared a snap on Instagram yesterday, there were calls for him to rush home.
One fan commented: “Get back on the sofa piers the bunch that are on the sofa are rocking me to sleep.”
Another added: “When You back Piers. We’re missing you in the mornings. You cheer me up.”
