Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford make viewers cringe as they pull “sex faces” while dancing to Despacito on This Morning

He also thanked his new hips...

Let’s be honest – there are some things in life you just don’t want to think about.

One of those things is your parents getting up to naughty stuff in the bedroom.

And another is, well, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford getting up to naughty stuff in the bedroom (after all, they’re a bit like your parents).

So you can imagine the response from viewers when the two This Morning presenters started pulling “sex faces” while dancing to the Justin Bieber track Despacito on today’s show.

The hilarious moment occurred immediately after an advert break. When the show kicked back in, the married couple were sitting on the sofa, gyrating their hips and swaying their arms to the number-one smash, on which Bieber collaborated with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.

Looking completely lost in the music, Eamonn, 57, smooched: “As soon as the music happens, my body, the rhythm, it just goes.”

At that point, Ruth, also 57, quipped: “It’s the two new hips that’s done it.”

Still absorbed in the moment, the Irishman groaned: “It’s the holiday mood. It’s the Despacito, the Despacito.”

By now, we were virtually into bedroom talk. Ruth looked at her husband and said: “Do you know what it means? It means ‘slowly’ in Spanish.”

And that’s when it happened. The faces. Etched on our minds for eternity.

If we’d been eating breakfast, it wouldn’t have stayed in our mouth for long.

And as is usually the case when something funny or unusual happens on the show (in this case, it was both), fans took to Twitter to comment on what they’d just seen.

“That awkward moment when you realise you’ve just seen Eamonn and Ruth’s sex faces,” wretched one fan.

But others loved the impromptu boogie. One viewer tweeted: “They are so funny. I think I woke my next door neighbours child because I was laughing so loud.”

And another gushed: “I loved this I was dancing along too!!”

Eamonn and Ruth are taking over This Morning’s – ahem – hot seat while Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are away.

But the way they’re going, maybe they should be on after the watershed…
