TV host Jimmy Fallon has been accused of being ‘very drunk’ at a New York bar amid reports he has a drink problem.
The New York Post allege the Tonight Show presenter partied with staff into the early hours of Tuesday morning after watching the presidential debate.
Sources told the publication Fallon was wasted during the staff outing at Manitoba’s Bar in New York’s East Village.
‘He was at the end of the bar playing ’90s music on his phone,’ one source told the Post.
‘He would have the bartender hook it up and start dancing. He was very drunk, cutting up and making people laugh.’
The source claims Fallon didn’t leave until 3am.
Meanwhile another source downplayed the night, saying Fallon was only at the punk bar for less than an hour, after watching the debates.
‘He left alone and people recognized him on his way out,’ the other source said.
‘He was like, “Hugs for everybody!” Someone asked for a selfie and he was like, “Nah, not right now.”‘
Back in January NBC executives were forced to issue a statement denying the comedian has a drinking problem.
Rumors circulated after the father-of-two was seen out partying on multiple occasions.
Then in October last year Fallon cut his fingers while opening a bottle of Jagermeister.
Video footage showed Fallon stumbling through a crowd at an award presentation before crashing to the ground with a bottle of the alcoholic drink in his hands.
Four months earlier he was also hospitalized after slipping on a rug at his home, an accident that almost cost him his ring finger.
“Tripped and caught my fall (good thing). Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing),” he tweeted after the June 26 incident.
Fallon is married to film producer Nancy Juvonen which whom he has two daughters Winnie and Frances.
