Holly Willoughby considers skating on Dancing On Ice

We'll believe it when we see it, though!

| Updated:

Holly Willoughby has apparently said she’s not against getting on the Dancing On Ice rink.

Well, that’s a U-Turn!

According to some of the show’s professional skaters, the Dancing On Ice host has indicated she’d be willing to give skating a go, despite reportedly being terrified at the very thought of it in the past!

Matt Evers told Star magazine: “Phil [Schofield] has been on the ice but Holly hasn’t.

“She was always like, ‘No, no, no.’ But I mentioned it a couple of weeks back and she said, ‘Definitely let’s give it a go!'”

Interesting given it was just last month Matt wrote in his Best magazine column that Holly didn’t fancy getting her skates on at all!

Matt wrote: “Isn’t Holly Willoughby looking great in all those fabulous dresses? What I really want to see her in is a pair of skates, though.

“That’s my current mission. She always looks terrified when I suggest it but, by the end of this series I WILL get Holly Willoughby on the ice.

“You never know, we might even try a headbanger.”

Er, maybe not immediately, Matt!

The headbanger is a daring move that involves a skater being picked up by the feet and swung up and down inches from the ice while their partner spins around in a circle.

It was performed by Jake Quickenden two weeks ago to the awe of judges and viewers alike.

Basically, it’s pretty terrifying!

Holly currently hosts Dancing On Ice with her This Morning best pal and telly partner Phillip Schofield.

The ITV skating programme returned in January after being on hiatus for several years.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Holly said she returned to Dancing On Ice partly because she knew her children – Harry, eight, Belle, six, and three-year-old Chester -would enjoy watching it.

She said: “They got so into Strictly and I thought to myself, ‘God they would have loved Dancing On Ice’.

“Then, of course, Dancing On Ice came back and it was like, ‘God, they’re going to love this’.”
