Sam Allardyce and Carol Vorderman tipped for I’m A Celebrity stints

From the dugout to the jungle

It has not been the greatest week in the career of Sam Allardyce but there could be a big payday on offer if her fancies a stint in the Australian jungle.

The scandal-hit football boss has seen his dreams of leading England to glory evaporate after being caught offering to bend the rules.

He has had to pack his bags and leave the FA and his role as national manager.

But he might keep those bags packed and head down under for a bumper pay packet from the I’m A Celebrity bosses.

Bookies have slashed the odds of the former England manager appearing on the ITV show and it seems that producers will spend big to land him.

He now stands at 20/1 after being 33/1 just 24 hours previously.

If he did join the fun down under, there will be a familiar face to greet him as a TV legend is rumoured to be signing up for the show.

Countdown icon Carol Vorderman is next to be announced and wants a hefty six-figure deal.

The show’s producers believe that she will be a real hit with the older men, what with THOSE shower scenes and the fact that she’s pretty much been a sex symbol for more than 30 years.

A body like that at 55? It’s a no-brainer.

An insider said: “She is well-known and still carries a lot of sex appeal.

“ITV chiefs are also hoping that she will be the brains of the camp. She’s a TV legend and they’re prepared to splash the cash to land her.”

Carol has had her fair share of TV appearances over the years after leaving Countdown in 2008.

She featured in BBC’s The Apprentice: You’re Fired! six years ago and the Channel 5 panel show It’s Not Me, It’s You last month.

If that wasn’t enough, she also managed to qualify for her private pilot’s licence in 2014 and announced that she plans to fly solo around the world!

She’s got skills, that’s for sure.

The full line-up for I’m a Celeb, has yet to be announced but it has been said by producers that “credible” personalities have been chosen, rather than the usual reality stars.

Lisa Snowdon, Robbie Savage, Helen Lederer and Corrie’s Craig Charles have all been tipped to take part in the show.
