“Devastated” Strictly stars apologise after pulling out of tour because of injury

Former Strictly Come Dancing couple James and Ola Jordan have postponed their upcoming tour.

The duo announced on Thursday that they’d made the difficult decision to push back their 2018 James & Ola: Uncensored dates after James picked up an injury during training that required surgery.

In a statement, the married couple said they were “hugely saddened” by the situation.

“We are devastated that James’ operation has caused us to postpone our tour as we were both so excited to dance together again for you all,” they said.

“We are so sorry to be letting so many people down, not only those who purchased tickets but all the cast and people that have helped work on the show to create something special.

“We hope you understand that health always comes first and hope for your continuous support in any of our future endeavours.”

Thankfully, James is expected to make a full recovery – it’s just taking longer than anticipated.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star’s medical team said they were surprised and happy by the speed of his recovery so far, but have advised him to take it easy to endure the injury doesn’t resurface.

James & Ola: Uncensored has been described as a “high-energy” show filled with steamy dance scenes that explain how the pair’s love story.

They said recently: “It’s great to be able to do our own tour, our way, and to offer something totally different to any other dance show.

“We want to perform a sexy, edgy interpretation of our life story, whilst still having all the sparkle and fun people expect from us – and the best part is that we get to dance together again, we cannot wait!”

It was due to kick off in Blackpool on March 3 and run until April 2. All fans are entitled to a full refund from their point of purchase.
