Denise Van Outen has slammed TOWIE star Chloe Lewis for pulling out of the 187 mile bike ride in memory of fitness writer Nicki Waterman, who passed away from a brain tumour last year.
According to reports Chloe dropped out of the charity event just 24 hours before she was due to jet off to India.
Actress Denise claimed the reality star gave “no apology to our team and no message of support”.
Denise was joined by other stars such as Michelle Heaton and Kate Thornton on their trek in Kerala.
The sun’s Dan Wotton tweeted that Chloe, 26, should be “embarrassed for letting so many people down and costing a charity thousands” to which Denise, 42, agreed.
However Chloe has defended her decision and claims the rumours are “made up” as she tweeted: “Outrageous on your behalf!! You should get your facts straight before making up stories. Absolutely shocking!”
Despite all the commotion, The Big Breakfast star Denise shared a snap of the cycle and it looks like they are pretty chuffed with their success!
She captioned the picture: “On this day last week our incredible team achieved something amazing. 310K cycle, climbing 5000m in sweltering heat, Kerala India in memory of @nickiwaterman.”
The mum-of-one appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to reveal all about her experience.
She said: “I’m not a really brilliant cyclist – I can cycle distance but I am terrible going up hill.
“I cursed the whole way up but at one point on the way, I could hear her voice saying, ‘You can do it’.”
She added: “It was so emotional but it was really lovely to celebrate her life.
“I miss her dearly and I just wanted to do something in her memory.”
