Star's newborn baby "writes" card to dad

Declan Donnelly celebrated his 43rd birthday by sharing an adorable message apparently from his newborn baby.

The TV star, whose wife Ali Astall gave birth to their first child just three weeks ago, posted a hilarious tweet to his and Anthony McPartlin’s 6.7 million followers.

He wrote: “I’ve had the loveliest of birthdays. I got a card from my 3 week old daughter, she’s very advanced.

Hundreds of fans posted their own birthday messages to Dec yesterday.

There was even a cheeky one from Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams who tweeted: “Happy 12th Birthday Dec.”

Dec’s best friend Anthony McPartlin made a rare recent visit to social media earlier in the day by posting a hilarious throwback picture of his comedy partner.

The photo showed Dec beaming as he stood behind a dress being displayed on a hanger, making it look as if he was wearing the frock.

Ant accompanied it with the message: “Happy Birthday from the big one to the little one!”

Ant announced in March he was taking a break from the spotlight following a drink-drive incident.

He celebrates his own 43rd birthday on November 18, an occasion he usually celebrates with Dec while they’re hosting I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
