Holly Willoughby and Dec Donnelly on I'm A Celebrity

Dec Donnelly stunned by Holly Willoughby’s “stern” remark to I’m A Celeb campmate

She was just giving advice...

Dec Donnelly is left stunned by Holly Willoughby’s comment to I’m A Celebrity’s John Barrowman during his Bushtucker trial on Wednesday night’s show.

Comedian John will be facing the dreaded Scary Rose trial, in which he has to swim underwater in a boat filled with critters, crocodiles and 40 eels to retrieve stars for camp.

In a preview clip of tonight’s episode shared to the show’s official Twitter page, the actor is seen bravely taking on the trial.

In the clip, John is seen diving underwater to try and get the stars.

As he managed to bag his first star, Holly exclaimed: “Well done! Star number one. Get that straight in your bag otherwise it won’t count.”

Her comment appeared to stun Dec as he replied: “Alright! Stern, that was stern.”

Holly said: “That’s a rule,” to which Dec quipped: “That was stern though.”

The This Morning presenter then joked: “It’s my mum voice.”

Turning the conversation back to John, Holly asked him: “Are you okay, John? What’s it like down there.”

John replied: “Lots of… it’s a little dark and there’s eels and crabs and everything.”

Holly said: “There’s actually 40 eels down there.”

But will John be able to retrieve all the stars to feed his campmates back in Croc Creek?

Earlier this week, it was reported that John had been warned against dropping his trousers in front of other campmates ahead of his stint in the jungle.

The 51-year-old actor is known for his wild ways, but had apparently been told he’s not to flash his genitals at his fellow campmates whilst he appears on the ITV celebrity survival show, as he’s been placed on a “flashing ban”.

According to The Sun, an insider claimed John has “promised he’ll be on his best behaviour”

The source told the publication: “John has promised he’ll be on his best behaviour, and will be on a self-imposed flashing ban. But fully intends to show everything in the showers.

“John has raised eyebrows in the past by going a bit far with his party antics.”

They added: “He’s certainly not shy when it comes to his body, and tends to be quite impulsive and act in the moment which they hope could make him a favourite with viewers.”

Tune in to I’m A Celebrity tonight on ITV at 9pm to see if John manages to bag enough stars in his first Bushtucker trial.
