Dean Gaffney trolled for giving away his bank details in social media blunder

What a gaffe, Gaffers!

Dean Gaffney was mocked by fans for doing something his on screen alter ego Robbie Jackson was more likely to do when he accidentally gave away his bank details in a social media gaffe.

The 40-year-old EastEnders star posted a picture of  his girlfriend Rebekah Ward, 26, planting a kiss on his cheek while out in a nightclub on Instagram – where he was holding his bank card in full view.

Captioning the picture: “Blue steel! She drives me crazy but she is special to me”, the actor was so enamored with his young girlfriend, that he forgot to edit out his Barclaycard and fans were soon mocking him for his mistake.

One follower pointed out that he could see both his bank card number and sort code wrote: “I can read your bank card, mate.”

Another added: “Look at Robbie flexing the Barclays bank card.”

Even his showbiz pal Calum Best got in on the action, writing: “Watch that bank card” followed by a crying with laughter emoji.

Clearly embarrassed by his mistake Dean quickly deleted the snap and then reposted it with all the important details airbrushed out.

Dean and Rebekah, who is three years older than his twin daughters Chloe and Charlotte, began dating in April 2016 and last year the actor gave her a promise ring in July last year to show his commitment to her.

A source told The Sun: “Dean and Rebekah are very much in love and he wanted to find a way to tell the world how he feels about her.

“The ring is a sign of his commitment towards her and a way for him to prove just how serious he is about their relationship.”

Dean was previously in a relationship with Sarah Burge, the mother of his daughters, for 10 years, but has admitted that he struggled to remain faithful.

He said: “Women were my drug and now, looking back, I’m ashamed of my past.”
