David Cassidy is reportedly in a critical condition after suffering from organ failure.
The former Partridge Family star, 67, was allegedly rushed to hospital in Florida three days ago.
Reports suggested he was placed in an induced coma but a representative told EW that he is “currently conscious and surrounded by family”.
Cassidy has suffered ill-health for years and has had a public battle with substance abuse.
He entered rehab in 2014 in an attempt to deal with his issues.
Earlier this year the singer revealed he had been diagnosed with dementia.
At the time he told People: “I was in denial, but a part of me always knew this was coming.”
He later decided to step away from his career to focus on his health.
“I want to focus on what I am, who I am, and how I’ve been without any distractions,” he said.
“I want to love. I want to enjoy life.”
