Doting mum and dad David and Victoria Beckham are thought to have splashed out a huge £7000 on a pedigree pony for their daughter Harper’s birthday.
The youngest of the Beckham brood, and the only girl, will turn seven on July 10, and The Sun reports how Harper fell in love with riding after beginning a lessons a few months ago.
“She’s horse mad and has spent the last few months badgering her parents for a pony of her own,” a source for the paper said.
“Obviously, a horse is a massive commitment, and Victoria and David have impressed upon her how important it is she cares for it herself and gets stuck into the mucking out.”

They add: “The pony is an extravagant gift, but Harper knows how lucky she is.”
Victoria has also been accompanying keen-rider Harper for her lessons, and shared a picture in May of the two of them heading out on a hack together.
She captioned the sweet snap, which showed both her and Harper kitted out in riding gear on two rather big horses: “Perfect end to the most perfect weekend. Riding with my baby in the sunshine.”
Back in April, Victoria was faced with a backlash from fans after posting an image on Instagram of Harper riding a horse with a crown ‘tattooed’ onto its back.
Some Instagram followers called what they believed to be the ‘branding’ of the horse ‘cruel’, while others pointed out the design had merely been shaved onto the horse’s fur.
The super-cute youngster is also said to have received an early birthday gift of tickets to see her idol Taylor Swift, after dad David posted a video of her waving to the star onto his Instagram stories last month.
However, Harper is no stranger to the finer things in life – especially when it comes to her mum and dad treating her to one-of-a-kind birthday gifts.
Forget fancy-dress. For adorable Harper’s sixth birthday celebrations last year, she accompanied a real princess – Princess Eugenie – to a tea party held just for her and her friends at Buckingham Palace.
Fans were also thrilled when Victoria began to post videos of Harper and they discovered her perfect English accent. Very apt for the palace!
“Lucky Harper, meeting a real-life princess at the palace!” David wrote on Instagram at the time, sharing a picture or his daughter dressed as the Frozen Disney Princess Elsa.
Harper’s other interests include painting, singing, and dancing.
Harper herself is also known to be very generous with her birthday gifts.
On David’s birthday in May, he posted an Instagram Stories of a key fob inscribed with the words ‘Daddy’s wine cellar’, later sharing a picture of a Louis Vuitton wine carrier, a gift from Harper which cost £4,500.

However, The Mirror recently reported that David and Victoria are worth a staggering £671.5 million, so £5000 in pocket money and pony seem modest!
