Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani reveals the EastEnders star and wife Joanne are “really strong”

Reality star is clearing up all the speculation

EastEnders’ Danny Dyer and his wife Joanne Mas are “really strong”, according to daughter Dani.

The actress, who is about to appear on ITV2 reality show Survival of the Fittest, told The Sun her parents are “good” following rumours of a difficult year.

“Mum and dad are good. They’re really strong,” she said.

In a separate chat with The Mirror, Dani said reports of Danny moving out of the family home last year and into his own place weren’t true.

She explained Danny needed a base near the EastEnders set for when he’s working late.

But he’s always lived at the family home.

“My dad got a place nearer to work, he has always been at home,” she said. “But they are really strong, they got married. He needed a place near EastEnders, he works late nights.”

Dani also confirmed in the interviews that her soap star dad is no longer drinking, after he took a short break from filming last year to recharge his batteries.

The actor, who plays Mick Carter, revealed last February he was taking a short leave from Walford amid reports he’d been looking “exhausted” on set.

Former EastEnders star John Partridge – aka Christian Clarke – later told Good Morning Britain that the show’s schedule could be “relentless” at times and Danny was likely under “enormous pressure”.

Meanwhile, rumours about Danny and Joanne’s marriage swirled last year, with the aforementioned reports he’d moved out of the family home.

But as neither Danny nor Jo ever commented, it was a bit unclear just what was happening.

So, thanks to Dani for clearing it all up!

It’s good to know all is okay.

Dani is about to step out of her famous father’s shadow and create a name for herself.

She’s already appeared in a string of movies but will tackle the small screen this weekend when she makes her debut on ITV2’s Survival of the Fittest, which has been dubbed the ‘Winter Love Island’.

Dani said earlier this week Danny had given her a warning before she flew to South Africa to begin filming.

“He is excited about me being on the show. When I first told him, like any dad, he had his protective hat on and said, ‘Don’t do anything silly’,” she said.

“Now he is getting it and he said, ‘it feels real now and I’m so proud of you’. He knows the person I am and he is really excited and it’s nice to have that support at home.

“He probably will be emotional as well. My mum and dad will be watching it every single night.”
