Danny Dyer joins Eastenders cast to celebrate England’s football success

It's coming home!

Hours ahead of England’s quarter final World Cup match, Danny Dyer has enthusiastically thrown his support behind the boys, with a rousing chorus of Three Lions (It’s Coming Home).

Danny and his Eastenders co-stars stand on the Albert Square set, draped in England flags, belting out the classic football song.

The clip aired on BBC Breakfast as part of their World Cup coverage.

The England squad are set to go up against Sweden at 3pm this afternoon, and if it were possible for Danny’s singing to give their feet a boost, they’d have a pretty strong chance of winning.

The World Cup might just be serving as the perfect distraction for Danny – pulling his attention away from watching his daughter, Dani, on Love Island.

Rumours have even started to spread that the actor will be joining his daughter on the dating show.

Dani’s mum, Joanne Mas, has claimed he’d jump at the chance to visit the Love Island villa.

During an appearance on This Morning, Jo was quizzed by host, Phillip Schofield about the chances of Danny showing up on the show.

“Yeah. He would do a cameo on that show – he’d love that,” Jo replied.

But it may not be possible – The Sun has claimed that Danny’s work commitments were too heavy to allow time for a visit.

“All his time off the soap had to be pre-booked with EastEnders to stop all the cast being off work at the same time,” The Sun’s insider source said.

Added to this, ITV has told ED! that there are no plans for any of the contestants’ families to appear on the show.

And if Danny has to juggle work commitments AND football matches, the chances get even smaller…
