They won Love Island this summer

Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have split, it has been revealed.

The Love Island winners were a popular duo on the ITV2 reality show earlier this year, but four months after being crowned as the top couple – and six months after they first started dating on the show – they have decided to call it quits and go their separate ways.

In a statement posted on her Instagram story, Dani wrote: “Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways.

“It’s been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but we’ve sadly come to the realisation that it’s not meant to be long term.

“We both plan to stay friends. I hope you’ll all understand.

Love Dani x.”

And a source later told The Sun newspaper that their “incredibly busy” schedules proved too much for either of them to keep up the romance.

They said: “When they left the villa they really thought they would stay together forever, but reality soon set in and things started to get strained.

“They came out to a whirlwind of publicity and after a while, things started to get to them and the cracks appeared.

“They are both incredibly busy and they have decided to call time on their romance.”

Shortly after Love Island drew to a close, the couple moved in together, and Dani recently hinted that domestic life wasn’t easy for them, although she insisted they will always “respect and support” each other.

She said: “Jack and I are only human and we’re not going to always agree on everything, but we love each other very much and always respect and support each other through everything.”
