Dancing On Ice star reveals baby joy

They took nine pregnancy tests

Dancing On Ice presenter Jordan Banjo has announced he’s expecting a child with his girlfriend, Naomi Courts.

The pair have claimed that the news came as a huge shock – they were in such disbelief Naomi took nine pregnancy tests just to be sure.

Speaking the OK! Magazine the pair opened up about the pregnancy.

“We weren’t trying so I was sure it was going to be negative,” Naomi said.

“When Naomi told me the test was positive I started laughing,” Jordan added, “I thought she was winding me up!”

Naomi explained that they hadn’t planned on becoming parents this soon, and that it took them a while to believe the news.

“I wanted to be sure so I went out and bought eight more tests. I sat with them all laid out in front of me on the bathroom floor, staring at them in disbelief.

“We always said we wanted kids together, we just didn’t think it would happen this soon. We’re over the moon, though!”

The pair – who are both from Essex – met back in 2013, and started dating two years later.

Jordan, who rose to fame after his dance troupe, Diversity – which includes his brother Ashley – won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

Since then he’s appeared as a presenter on Got To Dance, and Jordan and Perri’s Ultimate Block Party, and is the digital host of the current series of Dancing On Ice.

Naomi went on to say she’d been sure their first child would be a daughter – but a scan revealed she’s having a boy.

“I started crying when they said it was a boy because I was completely convinced we were having a girl. I was delighted it was a boy but I felt very overwhelmed, as I’d mentally prepared myself for it to be a daughter.”

Jordan claimed that the pair have been feeling a bit of pressure to get married, but insists that they’re not thinking about that quite yet.

“People ask me all the time when I’m going to propose and it does feel like there’s a bit of pressure on me, but the baby is giving us enough to think about,” he said. “It’ll happen in the future!”
