Dancing On Ice bosses deny claims contestants are ‘at war’ backstage

Tensions are building..

Dancing On Ice bosses have denied rumours the contestants are “turning on each other” backstage.

According to The Sun, a source claimed there was an all out war amongst the contestants, with people going to extreme lengths to try and get more airtime on the hit skating show.

However, a representative for Dancing On Ice told ED! there’s “no truth” to the claims, adding: “All of this year’s celebrities are very supportive of one another and there is no animosity amongst them.”

It comes after the publication reported that the stars apparently were fighting over costumes, and even taking to shoving each other out of the way in order to be seen more in group shots.

“The celebs all started off friendly but in the last two weeks certain stars have really turned on the other members of the cast,” a source told the publication.

“Some celebs have been overheard demanding certain costumes backstage even though someone else is already wearing it, and arguing with other contestants over who gets to wear what.

“They are jostling for the best position at the front of the podium, so much so there’s even been sharp elbows in people’s backs and pushing when the cameras aren’t on them. It’s really childish.”

The source also claimed the show is beset by jealousy over who was getting the most press attention, with some contestants taking issue at the coverage of Love Island star Wes Nelson, and TOWIE’s Gemma Collins.
