BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker has revealed he spent Father’s Day morning at a walk-in centre.

The presenter, 42, shared a snap of his eye on social media and told his followers he woke up to find the lid all puffy and swollen.

Providing a close-up look at his eye on Twitter, Dan joked that he might have to borrow the eye-patch that pop legend Madonna wore during her “awkward” interview on The Graham Norton Show on Friday.

He tweeted: “Woke up this morning with this beauty. Spending #FathersDay morning in a walk-in centre.

“Might have to borrow Madonna’s eye-patch for #BBCBreakfast tomorrow #RedEyeOfDoom.”

His fans rushed to comment on the tweet and wish him well.

Radio presenter Nick Bright joked: “On the undercard of the Tyson Fury fight last night mate?”

Another follower said: “Ouch, that looks sore get to the chemist ASAP, and later enjoy Father’s Day.”

A third wrote: “Hope it’s sorted soon! I’m sure you’ll look better with an eye patch than Madonna!!”

A fourth, clearly grossed out, tweeted back: “Thanks, was trying to eat my breakfast.”

Dan’s not the only celebrity to have a problem with his eyes this week.

On Friday (June 14), Phillip Schofield revealed he’s getting work done on his eyes to fix a problem with ‘floaters’.

The This Morning presenter, 57, posted on social media about plans to have his eyes “zapped” and joked with his fans.

He shared a Phil shared a close-up selfie on his Instagram Stories, offering followers a good look at one of his eyes, and wrote: “I wish there was a better name than ‘floaters’ for the mess that’s in my eyes… but today I’m having them laser zapped.”
