Dan Osborne slams internet trolls in Father’s Day rant

Former TOWIE star calls his critics "disgusting"

Father’s Day is meant to be a happy day for the dads of this world, but Dan Osborne has used the occasion as an opportunity to let off some steam.

The former TOWIE star, 26, took to Twitter to launch a stinging attack on internet trolls after he was criticised for being a bad dad.

In a lengthy rant, the father-of-two – who’s married to former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa – described his accusers as “nasty, disgusting people” and said he’d do “anything” for his children.

The day started off well enough for Dan, as he posted a sweet picture of his two children – Ella, three, and four-year-old Teddy (his son with former partner Megan Tomlin).

He captioned the photo: “Happy Father’s Day to all the good dads out there. I am the luckiest man on earth to be able to call these babies mine!”

But one or two followers reacted negatively, appearing to blame Dan for his and Jacqueline’s recent marital troubles, and questioning his worthiness as a dad.

That clearly riled the Essex-born star, and he returned to social media later on to give his detractors both barrels.

He fumed: “I post a picture of my beautiful children, that I’d do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING for, who I love more than anything on earth! Who I think about every minute of every day.

“Then have random [expletive] that do not know me, saying I’m a [expletive] dad, my children are unlucky to have me as a dad, that I’m just a sperm donor etc.

“I don’t know why I’m reading these things. [They] hurt me because I know it isn’t true and these people don’t know me. [Expletive] off, you nasty, disgusting people.

“My children are my absolute world. Everyone that knows me knows how much I adore my children. No matter what has happened in past relationships or whatever, it does not make me a [expletive] dad.

“I’LL ALWAYS do everything I can for my children and I’ll make sure they are happy as they possibly can be!”

Jacqueline, 25, is due to give birth to the couple’s second child – another daughter – in the next couple of weeks. And in an interview last week, she hinted that things are looking up for her and Dan.

She told OK!: “I will never say a bad word about the father of my children. Daniel is a part of my family, so no matter what goes on, I’m not going to [expletive] him off. We’re about to have a baby, and that’s our main priority.

“We’ve been through a rough period, but right now we’re getting on well.

“Neither of us knows what’s going on at the moment, but we’re spending time together and seeing how things go. Dan hasn’t moved back in, but we’re seeing what happens. He’s here a lot helping with Ella, and he’ll be hands-on when the baby arrives.”

Here’s hope that everything works out for them.
