Alan Halsall has showed off a dramatic new hairstyle after undergoing a second hair transplant.
On Monday, the Coronation Street actor told his fans he was having the procedure done the following day after first having the transplant in 2016 as he felt self-conscious about his receding hairline.
After going under the knife, Alan posted a pic to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday showing off his new look.
In the photo, Alan is seen with his hand over his mouth as he debuted his drastic chop.
He wrote: “Thanks for all your lovely messages, everything went well and I feel great aside from looking like a naughty 90’s pop star.”
Earlier in the week, the star revealed he was having the procedure done again.
Alongside a mirror selfie of his hair, Alan wrote: “Off for transplant no2 tomorrow can’t wait. Hope you’re on good form @bessamafarjo. (sic)”
He then asked his fans to ask him any questions they had.
When asked why he decided to tell his fans he’s undergoing the procedure again, Alan said: “Why not? Since I had my first a few years ago I’ve spoken with so many men who have confidence issues etc because of their hair, maybe this will let some of them know they have options and people have it done all the time.
“It’s not something to be ashamed of.”
When asked if the procedure hurts, Alan said: “From what I remember of my first… no. Some discomfort afterwards but that’s all.”
Over the past year, Alan has completely overhauled his look.
Last year, the actor – who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the soap – opened up to The Sun about how he achieved his slimmed-down bod.
He said: “I’ve had a PT (personal trainer) for about four/five months. I’ve been coming to the gym for a few years now.
“I’ve transformed myself a little bit and people have seen that. I have a pre-workout meal, I work out, then I have a post-workout meal or a swim and a steam.
“I can come here and learn my lines. You can pretty much spend the day here.”
