Corrie Spoiler: Street fave to be left seriously injured by thugs

When a gang break into the Bistro, someone is left fighting for their life

| Updated:

If you thought Corrie might go for some low key storylines after the recent Bethany Platt grooming plot/ Ken Barlow coma-gate etc, you were wrong. As if soaps do low key…

In dramatic scenes set to air later this year, Chesney Brown will be stabbed in the neck with a bottle.

The scenes come after a group of thugs break in to rob the Bistro, and little old Ches (he’s still little old Ches forever, in our heads, surely he’s still about 13?) bears the brunt.

Stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle, Ches will lie bleeding on the floor and slowly start to lose consciousness.

Viewers will see Chesney fighting for his life, with Michelle Connor fighting desperately to save him.

Daniel Osbourne – the Corrie one, not the TOWIE one – and Adam Barlow will also be watching the drama unfold.

An insider told The Sun: “They smash up the place and then Chesney gets in the way.

“One stabs him in the neck with a broken bottle. Michelle is seen screaming while Daniel and Adam rush to Chesney’s side, trying to keep him awake.

“But he is slipping in and out of consciousness.”

And we’ll all be left with the whopping cliff-hanger of whether he will even survive.

“He wouldn’t be the first soap star to make a miraculous recovery,” adds the insider. “But things aren’t looking too good for him.”

Chesney has been in Corrie since 2003 (seriously, he’s definitely not 13?) and this will be his most high-profile storyline yet.

The only good thing about this is that surely it means he’ll get back together with Sinead as she rushes to his hospital bedside?

Sinead and Chesney broke up when she chose to be with Daniel over him. Daniel ended up threatening Chesney showing a glimpse of his violent side.

So it’s interesting that he’s one of the ones who tries to save Ches – feeling guilty, is he?

And surely Cilla will have to come back for a guest spot if her son’s in hospital. Right?
