Coronation Street hints at sensational return for murdered Kylie Platt

Just because you've been killed off doesn't mean you are gone forever

Corrie fans need to brace themselves as there could be a sensational return.

There have been rumours that Peggy Mitchell might come back from the other side on EastEnders and it seems that ITV’s Coronation Street could also bring back a character, even though they have been brutally murdered.

There may have been tears before bedtime when Kylie Platt was killed off but they could soon turn to tears of joy.

At a Corrie press conference, Helen Worth, who plays Gail McIntyre teased that Kylie, played by Paula Lane, may be dead but her character is not buried.

She hinted that there could be an unlikely return, despite viewers seeing her die in the arms of David during the summer.

Clayton, who stabbed Kylie as she prepared to take off to Barbados with David and their kids for a new life, is up in court for her murder in the coming weeks.

Helen said about Kylie: “You never know, you never know!

“You always expect characters to come back.

“You don’t say goodbye, you just think they’ll be there again.”

While viewers may be missing Kylie, it seems that Jack P Shepherd, who plays David, hasn’t had time to pine for a return of Paula.

He explained: “It’s only because it has been non-stop – we’ve not had time to even think about her.

“The scenes have been so very dramatic lately, I think it will feel weird doing everyday, normal Platt scenes but at the minute, not really.”

Despite having a busy time with storylines, Jack admitted that the death of Kylie had an emotional effect on him.

Jack said: “I couldn’t eat or sleep.

“I’ve never really taken it home before, I’ve always left the scenes when I have walked out the door.

“But those scenes did affect me for about a week – which is a very long time, for me anyway!”
