Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank and boyfriend Stuart Hatton DENY they’ve split

They've been clearing up pesky speculation

Coronation Street favourite Daniel Brocklebank has rubbished speculation he’s split from Mr Gay World winner Stuart Hatton.

A representative for the actor – who plays trouble vicar Billy Mayhew – insisted cryptic messages sent by Daniel on Valentine’s Day had been taken out of context.

The spokesperson told MailOnline: “I can confirm that Dan and Stuart are still together.

“Dan’s tweets have been taken out of context as he’s on holiday with his friend.”

Phew!

Stuart, meanwhile, addressed the speculation on Twitter, writing: “Seems as though The Tabloids know more about my love life than even I do.

“Please tell me, what shall I do next? Jump inside a chalk picture? Ride a magical carousel? Win the Grand National? Oh, I do hope so! (sic).”

Speculation about a split surfaced after Daniel posted a message to Twitter on Valentine’s Day urging his followers not to settle in their romantic relationships.

“You should never have to fight for someone’s attention. If they really cared you wouldn’t have to,” he wrote.

Sound advice for all of us. He also wished everyone a great day – full of love.

And then he reminded his followers to tell their loved ones how they feel while they have chance to. Again, great advice.

Daniel – who often has us in stitches with his cheeky tweets – also shared an exchanged he’d had with his mum, quipping there had been a shortage of romance for him this year.

Thankfully, his rep has confirmed it was all just banter.

And Daniel certainly looks happy right now as he suns himself in Thailand.

He sure deserves a holiday after some hardcore filming in Weatherfield – Billy is currently in the throes of a dreadful addiction to painkillers.

It’s been reported that he will turn to heroin as he struggles with his addiction, the guilt of killing Susan Barlow, trying to raise Summer – and missing Todd.

Before Stuart, Daniel was dating his co-star Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osbourne, until July of last year.

Corrie fans were delighted when their relationship came to light in May.
