Coronation Street: Maria will get sent down for ANOTHER crime

She's already in the frame for killing Caz

There won’t be any Christmas cheer for Maria in Corrie this year – she’ll be in the slammer.

The poor hairdresser has been framed for the murder of psycho Caz – by Caz, who is very much alive.

And it’s currently looking like the mum-of-one will get sent down for a very long time.

There is one bit of good news, though – even though Maria will be absent from Weatherfield, actress Samia Longchambon will still be on-screen.

She will appear in scenes behind bars.

A source told The Sun: “Maria will be handed a 12-month stretch but she’ll be back on the cobbles in the new year because of good behaviour.

“The scene is set to shock fans as they know she didn’t murder Caz, but won’t see the sham marriage sentence coming.”

(Er, we all will now!)

“It will be one of the most shocking court storylines in the soap’s history,” the insider continued. “And likened to Deirdre Barlow’s wrongful conviction.”

Wow. Who could forget Free The Weatherfield One back in 1998.
