Scarlett Moffatt confirms split from boyfriend in Facebook post

The star was dumped on her birthday

Last we heard, everything was rosy in the garden for Scarlett Moffatt and Luke Crodden.

Even though the pair had unfollowed each other on social media, Scarlett was still insisting they were very much a couple.

And she even talked about the pair’s future together in interviews.

Luke, however, obviously had different views and Scarlett has now addressed them in an impassioned Facebook post.

The Gogglebox star wrote: “I’m gonna have to write it because I feel a bit awkward as I’ve done some interviews about him being in my book that aren’t out for a while due to timings of the magazines … but me and Luke have finished due to a number of different things.

“It was Luke’s choice in the end but it’s because we both just see each other in more of a friendly way than a romantic way & we both respect and love each other enough to know we need to call it a day and not be one of those couples that’s off and on 😂

“So it’s not that I’m being a crap girlfriend and not mentioning him it’s just we are no longer together, I wish him all the luck and happiness in the world, just sometimes these things happen 😊❤️ (happy birthday Scarlett by the way ha)”

Scarlett and Luke have had a rollercoaster relationship so far.

But it looked like their romance had been rekindled this summer, when Scarlett got back together with the hairdresser after time apart.

Their first breakup came in February, just three months after they both moved to London to share a flat together.

But it looks like Luke’s decision is the final nail in the coffin for their romance.

Fans were quick to give comfort to Scarlett, with the presenter replying her thanks to some of them.

One wrote: “Sometimes it’s best just to be honest with yourselves.”

And another commented: “People want different things in life”, to which Scarlett replied: “Wise words!”

All the best Scarlett, there are plenty more fish in the sea – and hopefully the next one you pick won’t break up with you on your birthday!
