Coleen Rooney has taken aim at fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy after private details about her family and friends were passed on to the press.

The post, shared on Wednesday (09.10.19), read: “For a few years now, someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

“There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge. After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion.”

Coleen went on to explain how she blocked all of her followers from viewing the Stories feature on her private Instagram expect for the one account she suspected.

At the end of the message, Coleen wrote: “I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

The post quickly garnered over 1000 comments, with many of Coleen’s followers expressing their outrage and others offering advice.

One said: “Oh my god! Shamed! I feel for you.”

Another demanded: “What is wrong with people?”

A third commented: “You must feel so betrayed, Coleen. I’m sorry this has happened to you.”

Someone else told her: “That’s disgusting. As someone in the public eye herself, you would have thought she’d have wanted to protect your privacy just like she would want hers protected. Imagine how she would feel if this was the other way around. I would like to see what excuse she comes up with or if she admits it and apologises to you. Well done for getting to the bottom of it.”

A fifth commented: “What a fabulous but very bold move I absolutely applaud you..Awful that someone would do this but at least now you can settle.”

ED! has contacted Rebekah’s reps for comment.
