Coleen Rooney rules out having a fifth child

The star says she is happy being a mum to four boys

Coleen Rooney has revealed she won’t be trying for a fifth child.

The wife of footballer Wayne Rooney told OK! magazine she is perfectly content being a mother to four boys, despite speculation the couple could try again for a little girl.

Coleen, 32, said: “I can finally say no more. I’m happy with the four boys.”

Having four sons has, inevitably, led to fans wondering if Coleen and Wayne would try for another baby in order to get a daughter.

Coleen and Wayne chose not to find out their fourth child’s sex ahead of birth.

Coleen had previously rubbished speculation she was desperate to have a little girl, telling Closer magazine: “I’ve got two brothers and Wayne grew up with two brothers, so we’re from a family of boys.”

“A girl would be nice, but you can’t pick and choose what you want,” she added. “I’d be happy with another boy to join the madness of our house.”

Coleen and Wayne will mark their ten-year wedding anniversary in June.

The childhood sweethearts tied the knot at a 17th century estate on the Italian Riviera, before having a reception in a nearby 700-year-old former abbey.

Their marriage hit the headlines last year when Wayne was pulled over by police and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving while driving another woman home in her car.

Coleen later hit back at rumours about their marriage by releasing an extraordinary statement to Facebook, in which she admitted things had been difficult but she was committed to Wayne.

She told fans: “No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he’s never left. Yes, it has been a [bleep] time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.”

“It’s my decision …. do I love Wayne … yes I do. If I didn’t then I wouldn’t be trying to make it work,” she continued.

“I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don’t want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do.

“I’m not saying everything is fine and forgotten about, but we are as good as can be at this point, I’m not the type of person to put a show on and say we’re all loved-up….I’m just real.”

Meanwhile, Coleen marked Wayne’s last Everton home game of the season on Sunday by sharing a photo to Twitter showing her husband and sons on the pitch.

All four boys were dressed in mini Everton kits as they stood next to their dad.
