One can only wonder what must be going through Coleen Rooney’s head at the moment.
The pregnant mum-of-three has reportedly returned to the family home in Prestbury, Cheshire, after spending the weekend with her parents.
But she’s said to be racked with doubt over what exactly happened on the night her husband Wayne was arrested for drink-driving – in another woman’s car.
Everton footballer Wayne, 31, was stopped by police in the early hours of Friday morning while driving a Volkswagen Beetle. The owner of the car, 29-year-old office worker Laura Simpson, was sat in the passenger seat.
Following the arrest, it was reported that Wayne and Laura had been boozing together at a cocktail bar near the Rooneys’ luxury home in Alderley Edge.
The pretty brunette later told the MailOnline that the pair had kissed after Wayne asked her if her boobs were natural – and suggested they might’ve gone all the way if the police hadn’t intervened.
Referring to Coleen – who’d been holidaying in Majorca with her three sons at the time – Laura said: “I can understand her being mad with [Wayne] over the arrest.
“That was stupid and, on reflection, he should never have driven my car, but he didn’t seem to be over the limit.
“But she can’t blame him for anything that happened with me, because nothing did really – although we would’ve ended up [sleeping together], no doubt.”

Coming so soon after Coleen announced that she’s pregnant with her and Wayne’s fourth child, that’s got to hurt. And a friend told today’s Mirror that the WAG still needs time to process what happened.
“As far as Coleen is concerned, she’s just moved back into her own home, but she’s still in turmoil and doesn’t believe Wayne’s story,” they explained.
“She’s been saying to him: ‘How many other times have you done this?’
“Coleen is not hot-headed and she desperately wants to believe Wayne, but she’s wondering if there are other secrets.
“They were under the same roof last night, but it’s a big house and nothing is resolved. The kids are back at school this week, and it’s close by their house, so Coleen needs to be there.”

It sounds like it could be a while before this particular case is resolved.
We just hope that Coleen and Wayne can sort it out, for the sake of their three kids – and the fourth one on the way.
