Claire Sweeney says she's looking for love after incredible weight loss

She's been single since 2015

Claire Sweeney and partner Daniel Reilly split in 2015, although they remained on good terms.

They both decided it would be best for son Jaxon, 3, if they did.

But the 46-year-old actress has recently revealed she's making room in her life for a new man, if the opportunity arises.

In a conversation about her weight loss - Claire dropped two stone last year as part of her New Year's Resolution - the Liverpudlian confessed she was hunting for romance.

She told The Mirror: "I feel more attractive now than I did in my thirties, but there are no men. It's a drought.

"I haven't been on a date. Jaxon is three now and I am kind of ready to meet someone."

It would be nice to be taken out to dinner.

"I always said for the first two years of his life, I didn't want a boyfriend. I wanted to just focus on him. But now he's three it would be nice to be taken out for dinner. Where do you meet people?"

Claire competed in the first ever Strictly Come Dancing way back in 2004, and was keen to get back into shape this year.

She went on a strict Slimfast diet, and also hit the gym for hot yoga and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

It took just three months to reach her goal weight, but keeping it off was the real challenge!

Talking more about her dating difficulties, Claire told the paper that she'd been asked to appear on a popular reality show.

She said: "They asked me to do Celebrity First Dates and I said no. Going on a date on telly, can you imagine? I’m so private about all of that stuff."

Claire added: "As you get older, I find you chill out more. You stop being so eager to please.

"You have to learn to appreciate what is good in your life, and not focus on what is not great and what’s not there.”
