She shared an honest message with fans

Christine McGuinness says she is the most content she has ever been with her body, after battling an eating disorder when she was younger.

The mum-of-three decided to share a message about her personal journey and how she is now at her “heaviest” and “happiest”.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star admitted when she had an eating disorder she would starve herself to stay slim. But she says motherhood has given her a new outlook on her body and health.

Christine posted a message on Instagram along with pictures of herself ten years apart. Her message read: “Same girl, different woman… Almost 10 years and 3 children later.

“I am a much healthier, happier and wiser woman. Swapping cardio and starving myself for lifting weights and enjoying healthy food, with sweet treats in moderation I am #StrongNotSkinny.

“Admittedly I do still struggle with seeing myself gain weight, I hate it. When you’ve had an eating disorder I think stepping on the scales is always difficult. Right now I am the heaviest I have ever been (apart from when I was pregnant) but I am the happiest and the healthiest I have ever been. Being a mummy is my drive to stay healthy (sic).”

The fitness-loving model went on to put out a body positive message. She urged people not to be slaves to the scales or the size of their clothes.

She added: “So please don’t concentrate on the numbers on your scales.. don’t focus on the size label in your clothes.

“Just aim for ‘healthy’ and remember that ‘healthy’ looks and weighs different for everyone.”

Her hubby Paddy McGuinness praised her candid words.

The presenter commented on Christine’s post with: “My girl! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.”
