Chris Evans reveals his fasting tactics after huge weight loss

He fasts for 12 hours a day!

The Virgin Radio Breakfast Show host, Chris Evans, has revealed his fasting tactics which have helped him lose a lot of weight, and it turns out that he fasts for an incredible 12 hours a day.

The radio DJ, who has dropped to 12 stone, admitted that he sometimes doesn’t eat for as much as 16 hours.

Chris’ dieting technique was revealed when a member of staff offered him a brownie early in the morning.

He turned down the early morning snack and went on to confess: “I do this 12 hour fast, which I have never talked about on the radio.

“But I don’t eat for 12 hours a day as it improves everything. 16 hours is even better, but 12 hours is easy especially if you do a breakfast show.

“If you get up at silly o’clock, not eating for a 12 hour period is very easy. It is about now (7:40am)… I could have it now. I mean, I can’t really.”

However, it isn’t just dieting alone which has helped the former Top Gear presenter to become so lean.

He’s also developed a healthy appetite for exercise, and is now a keen runner.

Chris is so keen on running in fact that he’s doing the Amsterdam marathon later this year.

He revealed recently on The One Show that he’ll be running the marathon for Dementia Revolution, for Dame Barbara Windsor and her husband Scott Mitchell.

This came after Scott and Barbara’s former EastEnders colleague Tanya Franks, who plays Rainie, were guests on his radio show back in August where they revealed that her Alzheimer’s is slowly getting worse.

The pair, who both ran the London Marathon this year in aid of the charity, joined Chris in the studio to discuss how Alzheimer’s has affected their family members.

During his regular morning slot, Chris gave listeners the chance to join him and bid in a charity auction for a VIP package and unforgettable Amsterdam Marathon experience.
