The messages of congratulations have started to pour in for Kate and William from big celebrities who are so excited about the news of a third royal baby.

News broke this morning that Kate is pregnant with her third child, to add to her growing family. The royal couple currently have a son and a daughter – George, four, and Charlotte, two.

Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl was one of the first celebrities to congratulate Kate and Wills. She tweeted: “Awww congratulations to Will and Kate on their baby news!! 3rd royal baba on its way.”

The Prime Minister Theresa May also gave her congratulations to the royal couple. She tweeted: “This is fantastic news. Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

Kensington Palace announced news of Kate’s pregnancy this morning, and said that the Queen is “delighted” by the news.

The statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

“As with her previous pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.”

Kate suffered from this condition during her previous two pregnancies and it involves severe morning sickness. She has had to pull out of a public appearance today because of it.

The statement continued: “Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today.

“The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”

During a recent royal tour of Poland in July, Kate sparked pregnancy speculation when she was handed a toy for a newborn, designed to soothe babies.

While she said thank you for the gift, she turned to her husband and said: “We’ll just have to have more babies.”

It was always believed Kate and William would have three children, as Kate is one of three herself.

Betting begun on the royals having a third child when Charlotte was just nine weeks old!
