Cheryl “feels she’s neglecting Liam” after arrival of baby boy

The star is reportedly feeling the struggle of being a first-time mum

| Updated:

Cheryl welcomed her adorable bundle of joy over three weeks ago with boyfriend Liam Payne and the couple were “incredibly happy” about their new arrival.

But according to an insider Cheryl, who has kept a low profile during her entire pregnancy, is already feeling the pressure of being a new mum.

Speaking to Reveal magazine the source, who is close to the star, explained: “Like all mums, Cheryl is very emotional and has moments of insecurity.

“It’s much harder than she thought – even though she is absolutely loving being a mum.”

Cheryl, 33, and Liam, 23, have kept their relationship very low key and now, with a sweet little tot, it looks like they are, understandably, focusing all their time on him.

The insider went on to reveal that Cheryl is worried she’s “neglecting Liam” as she’s “putting all her energy and attention into being a parent”.

The One Direction star however has admitted to being “completely in awe” of Chezza.

In a super cute post on Instagram the singer announced the birth of his son last month.

As he cradled the tiny tot he wrote: “I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world.

“I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother.

“She’s really made my dreams come true.”

Despite Liam reassuring Cheryl, the insider claims the former X Factor judge is “concerned she can’t be that fun, carefree ‘all about Liam’ girl” any more.

Meanwhile Cheryl and Liam have been flooded with congratulations from fans, who are waiting for a photo of the cute newborn – and confirmation of a name!

And among all the congrats messages Cheryl’s ex hubby Ashley Cole reportedly gave his “best wishes” to the star.

A source told Closer magazine: “[He] wished Cheryl and Liam only happiness in their future.

“He told Cheryl how lucky her son is to have her and he always knew she’d make an amazing mum.”
