Cheryl has spoken out about her “puffy-faced” look after she was accused of having cosmetic surgery last year.
The Love Made Me Do It singer told MailOnline that her altered image when she was promoting her new single wasn’t down to invasive beauty treatments but lack of sleep!
She said: “The truth was, I had one hour’s sleep that night, which is never good. I stayed up because the single and video dropped at the same time and I was reading the fan reaction on Twitter. It went a bit far and all of a sudden, it was 3am.
“I went to bed and got up one hour later. So I put on a wig – the short bob was a wig from the music video. They put my hair back in a plait and then put on the wig.”
She added: “I was so pale and on the way out of the door, the make-up artist was saying to me, ‘you’ve got a big pillow crease in your face that I can’t get rid of’. No one had seen the bob, but this is how I’ve always looked.”

Some had speculated that Cheryl, 35, had turned to surgery following her split from Liam Payne, with whom she shares one-year-old son, Bear.
Her fans were surprised by her different look when she made one of her first public appearances to promote her new music.
The former Girls Aloud star also addressed her break-up in her latest interview.

She said there is “no animosity whatsoever” between her and the One Direction star and they are just like any other couple with children trying to navigate a separation, albeit with “a few more eyes watching us”.
Twice divorced Cheryl admitted she’s not currently looking for love and has “paused” her “relationship goals”.
Instead, she’s focussing on her career. She’s currently back on TV screens as a coach on the BBC’s Greatest Dancer, as well as releasing new music.
Cheryl has admitted she’s had “mum-guilt” over returning to work but felt good to have a “bit of me back”.
So far, The Greatest Dancer has lost out in the Saturday night ratings battle with rival ITV show The Voice
