Chanelle Hayes ‘infertile’ unless she makes some big changes

She's had a wake-up call

Chanelle Hayes could be in serious trouble if she doesn’t lose weight, according to doctors.

The TV personality appeared on This Morning to explain that she is ready to make some real lifestyle changes after she received a huge health scare – including news she is currently in all likelihood infertile.

She told Phillip Schofield and guest host Davina McCall: “I want to have more children – not right now obviously because it’s basically impossible, but it’s something I want.

“It’s absolutely terrifying. I think because I’ve been so extreme with the way I’ve been doing things, when I do put weight on, it goes on a lot quicker.”

Chanelle, 29, who is currently a size 18, is also suffering from a back injury, which was the main reason she gained a lot of weight, but doctors say they can do nothing about it until she slims down.

“They did just say, ‘Your back’s never going to get better’. I need an operation on it but they said, ‘We’re not going to do anything to your back until you’ve proved that you can lose weight,'” she went on.

As well as risk of infertility, she’s also on the cusp of being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

“They’ve kind of said if you get any tingling in your limbs or lower limbs and stuff like that… They are keeping an eye on things. They want to do measurements,” she added.

The former Big Brother housemate said she would like to give six-year-old son Blakely a baby brother of sister.

Chanelle will have to really change her ways if this is to happen.

Back in April 2016, she was grilled by Phil and Holly after sparking rumours that she ballooned to a size 16 just so she could get a fitness DVD deal.

She responded saying: “With the amount of money I’ve spent on pizzas and doughnuts, even if I did make a DVD, I don’t think I could break even.”

The former glamour model used to be a size 8, but blamed a food addiction for her weight gain.

Previously she said: “Now I’m a mum and nearly 30 my metabolism has slowed down and I’ve put on weight. I’m a size 16 and happier than ever.”

Now, it’s all changed and it is time for her to get back to good health.
