She said, with hindsight, she won't risk her safety again

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Ashley James has revealed she chased two muggers down the street.

The star – who has also appeared in Made In Chelsea – revealed via Twitter that her phone was snatched by two people on scooters as she walked in London this week.

Ashley told fans she’d been on her way to a high intensity boxing class and her fitness levels meant she was able to chase them down.

She said: “Two kids on scooters just snatched my phone near Kilburn station.

“Little do they know I was on my way to Kobox and I’m a fast runner so I chased them and got it back (I dropped it in the tackle though so it’s mad scuffed up).

“Be careful of these little [bleepers].”

Ashley added: “On the slightly amusing side, that’s the second time someone’s tried to mug me and I’ve chased them down though.

“Someone stole my bag in Barcelona a few years ago and I ran after them and got it back.

“Still, I’m a bit shaken up and gutted my phone is scuffed.”

Ashley’s fans rallied around her, saying they were impressed with her actions but also advising her to be careful in future.

One wrote: “Fair play to you girl! Well done for getting it back! Some people are just not considerate when it comes to things like this! At least you showed them who’s boss.”

Another said: “Be careful Ashley xx you are so beautiful and strong but your life isn’t worth risking for a phone.”

Ashley assured fans she wouldn’t be chasing down muggers again.

She tweeted: “That said, one very nice guy who saw it happen and came to check on me said I shouldn’t have chased them down as they could have had acid so in hindsight and in future I won’t do that again.”
