Davina McCall broke down in tears as she described the death of her sister, during a heartbreaking film raising awareness of cancer.
And viewers at home were in bits, too.

On last night’s The Great British Celebrity Bake Off (Tuesday 2 April), which is part of C4’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, a short film featured The Drop host describe the moment her sister was diagnosed with cancer.
Talking directly to the camera, an emotional Davina went on to recall the sad day her sister died aged 50, and what she misses most about her.
Understandably, the TV presenter was sobbing throughout, and the viewers felt every inch of her pain.

Caroline Baday, Davina’s half sister, was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and tragically died in August 2012.
Davina, 51, told the camera: “It was a Tuesday afternoon. I was in accident and emergency of Pembury Hospital and I was sitting with my sister and I was confused because I was convinced she’d had a stroke, convinced.
“And they came back in and they said, ‘I’m afraid it’s not good news, you’ve got tumours in both of your lungs. The primary cancer is lung cancer. And we were like, ‘What?’.
“You know, it was my big sister, so my big sister always looked after me. But I had to just be strong, and kept saying: ‘It’s going to be all right, we can get through this together. We can do this. It’s going to be all right.'”
She continued: “I’d been with Caroline almost every day, bar three or four days, from her diagnosis to her death and for three days I knew she was bad. I slept on her floor next to her bed holding her hand.
“I just closed my eyes, I heard her breathing difficulty, I opened my eyes and thought ‘I think she’s going’.
The mum-of-three added: “The fact that I was there with her I hope meant a lot to her because it meant so much to me.
“How do I move on? I do move on. Life goes on. But she lives on with my children. We celebrate her birthday, we try and forget the day she died.”
Overwhelmed with emotion, Davina cried: “What I miss the most now about Caroline is just talking, I just miss talking.”
And fans at home were broken by Davina’s short film.

The fifth and final episode of the celebrity version of Great British Bake Off saw presenter Caroline Flack, newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy, actor Greg Wise and boxer Nicola Adams compete – with Greg winning the Star Baker apron.
