Celebrity Big Brother has been accused of copying I’m A Celebrity’s infamous bushtucker trials in a disgusting dinner party challenge given to several housemates.

Gabby Allen, Nick Leeson and Chloe Ayling were tasked with eating a banquet of revolting food – including black, thousand-year-old pickled eggs, smelly durian fruit, tripe and rancid milk.

The trio sat on the patio of the CBB house to eat their disgusting dinner party – a sick bucket at the ready.

Gabby commented that the food was so awful it could be used as a punishment.

“It’s so disgusting I want to throw it up and then swallow it and snog my ex-boyfriend,” she said.

“This tastes like what I would expect a dead penis to taste like.”

She later commented that the bad taste of the food meant that she might as well be eating out of the sick bucket – so she started eating out of the sick bucket.

But fans weren’t keen on the segment – claiming that it was too similar to the food challenges on I’m A Celeb.

The term bush tucker is used in Australia to refer to native edible flaura and fauna that is often eaten by the country’s aboriginal population – it includes kangaroo and emu meat, as well as bugs such as witchetty grubs and many native plants.

I’m a Celeb uses the term to refer to eating challenges that revolve around food such as cockroach smoothies or rat tails.

The trials have become one of the reality shows signature segments, with last year’s winner Georgia Toffolo struggling to keep the food down.

And fans of CBB have lost no time in pointing out the similarities between the disgusting dinner party and the bushtucker trials, taking to twitter to comment on the challenge.

“#CBB you are not I’m a Celeb – enough of the “eat disgusting foods” tasks,” one fan tweeted.

“Omg I actually can’t watch this food task 🤢🤢🤢 what is this? The jungle?! #cbb #gross.”

But some thought the challenge could act as a trial for celebrities hoping to go to the jungle next.

“I’m calling it now.. #CBBGABBY will be on #ImACeleb . The way she ploughed thru that eating task just then was something else #CBB” one fan tweeted.

But unless I’m A Celeb come up with something as disgusting as regurgitated tripe, it may not be enough for Gabby.
