Catherine Tyldesley reveals parenting woes, as three-year-old son WEES in her handbag

Parenting has its ups and downs – even for the rich and famous, as Catherine Tyldesley revealed on Twitter yesterday.

The Corrie star had a dramatic drive home with her three-year-old son, Alfie, tweeting that while she was driving he urinated in her handbag.

Not only that, once the were home, he was sick all over her freshly made beds.

Catherine tweeted about the incident, saying: “After my toddler peeing in my handbag on the M6… we came home, made nice clean beds… he vomited I’m both… #mumlife #sendhelp #andgin”

If Catherine was hoping for a bit of a rest after filming her final scenes on Coronation Street, Alfie might have other ideas.

“Aren’t kids great!! My two have just had the dreaded sickness bug it’s awful but both back to there cheeky mischievous little selves 😊😂 Hahaha hope your little one gets better soon! And you get some r n r!! 😘😘,” said another.

Catherine announced she would be leaving Coronation Street in December, so she would be free to pursue other roles – and to step in to a new career, as a writer.

She told the Sunday Mirror she planned to spend her time off “writing books and scripts too, ideally on a beach or in the Lake District.”

She also said that she was looking forward to having more time to spend with Alfie, and with her husband, Tom Pitfield.
