Actor Rob Delaney has confirmed that he and his wife are expecting another baby together following the sad loss of their son earlier this year.
Rob, 41, and his wife Leah were left devastated when their two-year-old son Henry lost his battle with cancer in February.
Taking to Twitter this morning, Rob shared a video in which he praises the NHS and how much they helped Henry.
Just had 2 typically wonderful @NHSEnglandLDN midwives visit my pregnant wife & I for a home birth assessment. Love to all marching for the NHS today. See my sad love letter to the NHS below. https://t.co/isAkRDqh2X

He confirmed the happy news again in the video and said: “We had a couple of kids in the US and we had one child here in the UK and we’re about to have another…”

The Catastrophe actor praised the NHS doctors and nurses who had helped Henry and their family throughout. “He benefitted so much from the healthcare system here, and so did we as his parents,” the US actor explained. “While we endured stress that was truly unbelievable, we didn’t endure the financial stress of thinking, ‘Are we going to be able to pay for this?’ That sort of financial stress we didn’t have to endure here. And what a gift,” he added of the NHS. In a tribute to his son, Rob, 41, said in February: “Henry was a joy. He was smart, funny, and mischievous and we had so many wonderful adventures together, particularly after he’d moved home following fifteen months living in hospitals.
Here’s Henry not long before he died. You can see his little tracheostomy tube on his neck and his left eye is turned in due to nerve damage from surgery. He has a bus & a turtle though so he’s happy. He was such a sweet boy. pic.twitter.com/D3liQXOqyi

“His tumour and surgery left him with significant physical disabilities, but he quickly learned sign language and developed his own method of getting from A to B shuffling on his beautiful little bum.
“His drive to live and to love and to connect was profound.”

Rob added: “The NHS nurses and doctors and the home carers and charity workers who helped our family survive Henry’s illness will be my heroes until the day I die.
“I am desperately sad right now, but I can say with authority that there is good in this world. Thank you, beautiful Henry, for spending as much time with us as you did. We miss you so much.”
