Ariana recently wowed her fans after organising a benefit concert to honour her fans who were killed in the awful Manchester Arena terror attack.

Last month 22 of Ariana’s fans were tragically killed after a suicide bomber detonated a device as concert-goers began leaving her show.

Ariana was left “heartbroken” and set up a benefit concert, One Love Manchester, featuring several other artists including Coldplay and Katy Perry to pay tribute to those affected.

Now after organising the incredible gig the singer is set to become an honorary citizen of Manchester.

Manchester City Council leader Sir Richard Leese told the BBC: “This seems a fitting moment to update the way we recognise those who make noteworthy contributions to the life and success of our city.

“We’ve all had cause to be incredibly proud of Manchester and the resilient and compassionate way in which the city, and all those associated with it, have responded to the terrible events of 22 May – with love and courage rather than hatred and fear.”

The awful attack, which took place on May 22, left Ariana “broken”.

Shortly after the concert she tweeted: “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words.”

Her boyfriend Mac Miller recently shared a snap of the pair together as he described Ariana as an “adorable pure soul”.

Alongside the black and white snap he wrote: “Happy Birthday to this adorable pure soul who has reminded me what being happy feels like.

“Thank you for loving me so good. I think it’s supposed to be “so well” but I don’t care. I love you and can’t wait for all of the adventures.”
