Busted’s Charlie Simpson announces wife is pregnant with their second child

He already has one little tot

Busted’s Charlie Simpson has announced he is expecting his second child with wife Anna Barnard.

The couple are already proud parents to their son Arlo, two.

The guitarist is “super excited” to share the news but is keeping the baby’s sex under wraps.

The 32-year-old told the Metro: “I’ve just found out we’re having a second! I’m super-excited. We do know (the sex), but I want to keep it a secret. I haven’t actually told anyone she is pregnant yet!”

The musician also spoke about the support he receives from his bandmates – Matt Willis, 34, and James Bourne, 33.

He added: “We all have an understanding, however we schedule our time, we keep in mind that we have to see the family.”

The pop rock band reformed last year after splitting back in 2005.

But Charlie previously revealed that he would have to adjust to touring to make sure he doesn’t miss important moments in his child’s life.

Shortly after welcoming little Arlo Charlie said: “I don’t think I could miss key points in my kid’s life when they’re growing up.

“I love touring and it means the world to me but I think I’d have to organise it in a way where I’m not missing out on my kid’s upbringing.”

Charlie and Anna tied the knot back in 2014 just one week after announcing their engagement.

Bandmate and pal Matt is also enjoying fatherhood with his three children with wife Emma Willis.

The couple have Isabelle, eight, Ace, five, and Trixie, one.

The 34-year-old has also spoken of the difficulty of being away from his children during their tour.

He told The Sun: “I think everything’s different when you have a kid. Working is a little bit harder because when you’re away that’s the down side of being in a band – that you have you have some time away from your family.

“But that’s just our job and we get to do something really cool for a living, which is awesome but then we go home.”
