The 26-year-old, who plays Sophie Webster in the soap, didn’t sugar coat things.

She admitted that while she loves being pregnant, she doesn’t always “feel amazing and glowy” and the experience can be mentally “draining”.

Brooke, who is expecting her first child with footballer Kean Bryan, shared snaps of the exercises she has been doing with her personal trainer whilst pregnant and explained how she has been feeling.

She began by telling her followers: “Ok so, truth time! It’s holiday season now and having gone through my summer clothes from last year I fit into very few items (baseball caps and trainers are still perfect!)

“Please don’t get me wrong, or take this out of context – I absolutely LOVE being pregnant, knowing and feeling a little human being growing away inside me is the most rewarding thing. I’m not complaining at all, it’s just taking a bit of getting used to.”

Brooke said she’s had to get used to not seeing physical results from her pregnancy workouts.

She continued: “I know I feel healthy and strong, but I’m used to seeing the physical aspects of training too…

“I didn’t and don’t always feel amazing and ‘glowy’ like many women do when they are expecting a baby.”

She confessed she “instantly compared” herself to other pregnant women on social media but she is “determined” to enjoy her own journey and embrace it.

She added: “Mentally it is sometimes draining with constant thoughts running around your head (What if this? Can I do that?) But to all my pregnant followers reading this post – it’s normal and OK to worry, or feel a bit rubbish, or tired, you’re NOT alone.”

Brooke and 22-year-old Sheffield United player Kean have been dating for three years and announced their exciting news in April.
