British actress, 21, responds to Brad Pitt romance rumours

Oh to be the subject of such speculation

Not many people would try and DENY claims they’re dating a Hollywood A-Lister, especially a bachelor as eligible as Brad Pitt.

But that’s exactly what 21-year-old Brit Ella Purnell has done today, pouring a bucket of freezing water on rumours that she is seeing the World War Z actor.

It’s been reported recently that their relationship had been moving from the professional to the romantic, with bowler-over Brad reportedly casting the young actress in his upcoming Starz series, Sweetbitter..

After first seeing her work in the 2016 film Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, in which she played Emma Bloom.

The rising star also appeared in Churchill as Helen Garrett, and in the action flick Kick-Ass 2, in 2013.

And bizarrely, Ella even played the teenage version of Angelina Jolie in the 2014 Disney movie Malificent.

But a confidante of Ella’s has scotched the romance rumours, saying: “It’s completely made up. They’re not dating.”

Despite rumours of flings with Sienna Miller and an unnamed sculptor in Los Angeles, 53-year-old Brad hasn’t been in a confirmed relationship since his split from Angelina in 2016.

The pair were married for 12 years, and brought up five kids together.

In Touch magazine reported that Angelina “absolutely hates that Brad is cavorting with someone who played the teenage version of her in a film”.

And the same insider mentioned: “Ella is incredibly flattered by all the attention she’s getting from Brad. She’s told friends he’s always been her number one celebrity crush.”
