Reflecting back after watching a clip of her BGT audition, she told Lorraine: “It’s really weird, it doesn’t feel like me. It felt just felt like a little girl. I had such a good time.”

Connie catapulted to fame with her adorable rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow in 2007, which stunned the Britain’s Got Talent judges and even brought Amanda Holden to tears.

Fans soon voiced their shock at how grown up Connie appeared on Lorraine, with some commenting on how old it made them feel!

One viewer tweeted: “nothing has made me feel older than finding out that little 6 y/o Connie Talbot who was on Britains Got Talent in 2007 is now 18 y/o. I AM ANCIENT. WHERE IS MY CARER.”

Connie reached the finals of the ITV talent show 11 years ago.

She became Britain’s youngest child star and went on to release her album Over The Rainbow, which sold 250,000 copies worldwide and reached number one in three countries.

Thanks to her audition going viral on YouTube she gained fame in the US and Asia too.

She is still very much involved with music and occasionally even bumps into BGT judge Simon Cowell!

She said of the 59-year-old music boss: “I absolutely loved Simon Cowell.

“I still see him [Simon] every now and again – at charity events and stuff.”
